1. Avoid cliches and surprise your reader!

Do you want to grab the reader’s attention and keep it there? Then surprise the reader! Use unexpected word combinations or comparisons. Starting your blog mainly not with “You know it …” after which you sketch a known situation. This is such a foolish cliche. Be original, with originality and creativity you ensure that the reader is surprised and curious to continue reading. 2. Framing

Simply put, framing is the way you tell a story. It is seen as a technique of conviction: you choose your words in such a way that the reader forms a certain opinion on the subject, the opinion that you want! You make your product or service more attractive by highlighting the good features. That does not mean that you have to hide the bad qualities, but you can choose your words in such a way that the reader mainly sees the positive aspects of your services or products.

3. Strengthening adjectives

The use of adjectives is not only a technique that is used a lot in books, it is also used extensively in blogs.

With the use of adjectives, you add extra power to your story. When you have finished writing your blog, read your story carefully again to see if you can add an extra reinforcing adjective here and there.

4. Ask questions

Many bloggers ask a question about the topic of a blog at the end of their blog. For example, if you have written a blog about setting up a business Facebook page, you can ask at the end of the blog: “Do you already have your own business Facebook page?” This provokes interaction, readers will respond faster to your blog. You can also ask questions in your blog, this causes the reader to unconsciously come up with an answer to the question and if he recognizes himself in it, he will continue reading quickly.

5. Perspective

My last tip is about perspective. How do you tell a story? Do you tell it from the I-form and keep it nice and personal, or would you rather write a general story without using the word “I”? There is no ‘right or wrong’ here, but remember that a blog often has something personal and also contains the writer’s opinion.
